About Matt

Matt Aune is a composer and producer based in Los Angeles. He has a diverse musical background that comes across with his pop-like use of melodic themes supported by rich orchestral arrangements. At age 14 Matt was tapped to study with Hans Zimmer's orchestrator, Kevin Kaska, and further improved his skills by studying jazz/composition under David Bowie's pianist, Mike Garson. Matt graduated from USC's Screen Scoring Program.

Matt currently has over a decade of experience as a professional composer and orchestrator and his music has since been featured on FOX, NBC, Hallmark, Netflix, UPtv, Epix, and CBS. Film and TV credits include over 100 episodes of popular children's animated series ABC Mouse, feature films: JL Ranch (Hallmark Original), Naughty & Nice (UPtv feature film), and Surviving the Wild.

Matt has also composed and arranged for musical theatre productions: Battleship Potemkin, Wake Up, and most recently had a very succesful premiere of the German musical Zeitelmoos (July 2022).

Driven by a deep passion for music and cinema, Matt is dedicated to helping filmmakers achieve their vision by developing intuitive musical narratives for their work.
