Matt Aune is a young composer and performer from the Los Angeles area. He has been studying piano, music theory, and composition since he was five years old. He reads, writes and performs music fluently. Completed the Music Teachers Association Certificate of Merit Program Level 10 with honors in 2008. He earned the Specialist Orchestrating and Producing Music for Film and Games certificate at the Berklee College of Music in 2009.

  • Passed MTAC keyboard advanced level 10 with honors
  • Passed MTAC keyboard advanced level 9 with honors
  • Received a monetary award from the Leni Fe Bland Foundation
  • Received an honorable mention in the Elvin Samuel McGaughey piano competition
  • Won first place in the Chopin Waltz category at the 44th annual SYMF piano music festival
  • Received a monetary award from the Leni Fe Bland Foundation
  • Won first place in the MTAC San Fernando Valley Branch Competition
  • Passed MTAC keyboard advanced level 7 with honors
  • Released a CD of original compositions
  • Received an honorable mention at the MTAC Contemporary Music Festival
  • Landed the role of Schroeder in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown community musical
  • Guest performer at Beverly Hills Chamber Orchestra Music Association’s recital event
  • Presented with a certificate of recognition for outstanding talent from the Glendale symphony Orchestra Association women’s committee and was invited to be the guest artist at their committee luncheon
  • Passed National Piano Playing auditions


Currently in college at Pepperdine University in Malibu pursuing a music composition major and plans to have a career as a composer for film, video games and television.
